Importance of Learning from others.

In 2024 December i joined a manufacturing company, expecting to learn a lot. I soon realized what I saw these concepts i had already studied in my 12th grade and engineering courses. As I began operating machines, I made some mistakes, and the supervisors scolded me. I didn’t know how to react and how to handle such situations, I felt really bad at that time. One particular person(machine operator) always scolded me for mistakes which i did and sometimes for things i didn’t even done. After scolding me, he would say “This is common in every workplace, so don’t take it personally, ok then also added I faced even harsher scoldings when i was new. Once you master the work, you’ll be the king”. His words left me confuse was he a good person trying to guide me, or was he just repeating the cycle he had experienced? At the same time i understood their situation. If a machine repairs or if the parts are not ok which means it went to rejection parts , they are the full responsibility. In this situation i questioned myself if he had faced same difficulties and knew how it affected someone mentally, why was he doing the same to others.

This experience taught me an important lesson:

• Don’t learn yourself only, learn from others and learn to others.

• As the proverb goes ”Knowledge is power” .True power is not only gaining knowledge it’s giving knowledge to others.
